Raising Awareness on World Day for Safety and Health at Work

In April, ES-KO Congo was invited by TotalEnergies to participate in a special workplace event marking the World Day for Safety and Health at Work.

The initiative aimed to strengthen safety culture and raise awareness about health and safety across the workplace. ES-KO Congo contributed with a dedicated stand focused on its operational expertise in kitchen safety — a critical area for its field operations. The team shared practical tips on preventing common kitchen injuries such as cuts, burns, and other appliance-related hazards, offering hands-on demonstrations of safe practices.

By taking part, ES-KO reinforced its commitment to not only meeting safety standards but actively shaping a culture of prevention and shared responsibility.

"This initiative shows that safety is not just a policy — it’s a mindset," said an ES-KO representative.

The World Day for Safety and Health at Work was proclaimed by the International Labour Organization (ILO) to promote the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases globally. Observed annually on April 28, it serves as a reminder of the importance of building a strong safety culture in every workplace and encourages employers and workers to take proactive steps toward safer and healthier working conditions.
